When using laminate shelving we recommend approximately
16" (normal stud spacing) between wall standards. For wood or plywood, up to 24".
(Physics: The closer the standards, the greater the load bearing ability. Therefore deeper shelves, because of more
edge loading force, should be supported at the shorter intervals for desk top
installations.)
The height of standards should take into account useful floor space beneath shelves. (Note: The bottom shelf will be approximately 8" above the bottom of the wall standard.) The wallperfect system fits any length standards you desire. Standards can be made custom length by cutting precisely the length you want. Additional mounting screw holes can be drilled in the cut standard as needed. If you want longer than any available standard, simply install one above the other. The wallperfect covers will completely hide the junction and stability is assured. |
